Compassionate, Trauma-Informed Therapy
I believe healing begins when we feel safe, understood, and supported. Whether you are navigating the effects of trauma, coping with grief and loss, facing anxiety or depression, or moving through a significant life transition, my goal is to provide a compassionate and collaborative space where healing can unfold at your own pace. Together, we can explore the experiences that have shaped your life, build on your strengths, and cultivate the resilience needed to move forward with greater ease and confidence.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and EMDR therapist specializing in helping adults heal from trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. My clinical approach integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy with mindfulness-based and somatic practices to support meaningful healing and lasting change.
My path to this work has been shaped by a longstanding commitment to mindfulness and personal growth. In 2003, I became a certified Integral Yoga teacher through Integral Yoga. The mindfulness practices and philosophical foundations I learned through that training have informed both my personal and professional life ever since. These principles continue to guide my work by helping clients cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and connection to the present moment.
Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of serving the Savannah community through my work with Hospice Savannah. In that role, I provided counseling, support, and resources to patients, family members, and loved ones navigating serious illness and end-of-life challenges. I especially valued my time as a bereavement counselor at Full Circle Grief and Loss Center, where I spent three years supporting individuals coping with the death of a loved one.
Before moving to Savannah in 2010, I worked in community mental health in Seattle, Washington, partnering with adults living with serious and persistent mental health challenges.
I hold a Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in Clinical Practice. The core values of social work continue to shape my therapeutic approach, including service, social justice, the dignity and worth of every person, the importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. My work is person-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in an understanding of the many systems that influence individual well-being.
EMDR therapy is a central focus of my practice. EMDR is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals process distressing experiences, reduce the impact of traumatic memories, and develop healthier beliefs about themselves and their lives. In addition to EMDR, I incorporate mindfulness and somatic approaches tailored to each person’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
While grief and loss remain areas of special interest, I also work with individuals experiencing trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I believe healing happens within a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship where you can feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
I am a member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), the Georgia Society for Clinical Social Work (GSCSW), and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). I am committed to ongoing professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices that support healing, growth, and well-being.
